Refund and Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026Effective date: 7 October 2026
This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains your cancellation rights and how refunds are handled for subscriptions to Apex Study (the “Service”). It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms and Conditions.
The Service is operated by Colomba Lira Feliú, Chilean tax identification number 20.665.477-5, acting as a sole trader under the commercial name “Apex Study”, with a business address in Santiago de Chile. Our contact email is colomba@apexstudy.net. Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as Merchant of Record.
1. Try The Service Before You Pay
A limited, predefined chapter or selection of content is available free of charge in each subject so that users can evaluate the Service before purchasing.
We encourage the Adult Account Holder to use this free content before purchasing a subscription.
2. Regional Pricing
Subscription prices vary by country or region and are set by Apex Study. Current annual prices are USD 69, USD 39 or USD 29 depending on the buyer’s region.
The price and currency that apply to your purchase are shown at checkout before you confirm and pay. Any refund is calculated on the amount actually paid, in that currency and at that regional price, and is processed by Paddle to your original payment method.
3. Statutory Right Of Withdrawal (14 Days)
Where the Adult Account Holder is a consumer and applicable law grants a statutory right of withdrawal, that period is 14 days from the date the subscription is purchased.
Within this 14-day period, and provided no paid content has been accessed, the Adult Account Holder may cancel the purchase and receive a full refund of the amount paid for the current subscription period.
“Paid content” means any chapter, quiz, flashcard set, structured question, progress feature or AI tutor function beyond the free content included in each subject.
4. Consent To Immediate Access And Loss Of Withdrawal Right
The Service provides digital content and services that can be accessed immediately after purchase.
Where applicable law permits, by opening or using any paid content the Adult Account Holder expressly requests immediate access and acknowledges that the statutory right of withdrawal is lost for that purchase once paid content has been accessed.
Any express request or consent required by applicable law for digital services or content to begin during the withdrawal period will be obtained separately during checkout.
Our systems record when paid content is first accessed on an account, and this record is used to assess refund requests.
5. Refunds Outside The Withdrawal Period
Once paid content has been accessed, the subscription for the current period is generally non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law or expressly provided in this Policy.
Nothing in this Policy limits any mandatory right available to a consumer under the laws applicable in their country of residence, including remedies where the Service does not conform to the contract.
6. How To Request A Refund
If you are within the 14-day period and have not accessed any paid content, you may request a refund by contacting colomba@apexstudy.net or by requesting it through Paddle.
Eligible refunds are returned to the original payment method and are processed by Paddle on our behalf.
We aim to acknowledge refund requests within a reasonable period and to process eligible refunds promptly.
7. Cancelling Automatic Renewal
Unless clearly stated otherwise at checkout, paid subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods of the same duration.
The Adult Account Holder may cancel automatic renewal at any time by contacting colomba@apexstudy.net.
Cancellation stops future renewals but ordinarily allows continued access until the end of the period already paid for.
Cancelling automatic renewal does not, by itself, create a right to a refund for the current period once paid content has been accessed.
We or Paddle will provide notice of an upcoming annual renewal by email within a reasonable period before the renewal date. If the price will increase, the Adult Account Holder will be informed before renewal.
8. Failed Renewal Payments
If a renewal payment fails, we or Paddle may make further reasonable attempts to process it and may temporarily suspend paid access. We will not charge more than the price disclosed for the relevant renewal.
9. Discontinuation Of The Service
If we permanently discontinue the Service or materially reduce its essential paid functionality during an active subscription period, we may provide an appropriate remedy, which may include continued access for a transitional period, an alternative service, account credit, or a proportionate refund.
10. Exceptional Circumstances
If you believe your situation is exceptional — for example, a duplicate charge or a billing error — contact us at colomba@apexstudy.net and we will review it fairly.
